Rear brake pump problems...

i have a problem on the rear brake pump...

two times that i find that the tubes are full of air... and the bike don't brake!!!! :angry:

i have to fill the oil and make the air goes out...

also a friend have this problem... Wink

This is a known problem. I had this two times too and Xt-Olly also.

Appears normally not, only at hard drives (brakes) in the mountains. My Experience.

But not nice, when it appears. I found out, that the brake function normally, when the brake cools down

i don't use so much the rear brake... and the first time it happens when i make the 7500 check control.... the dealer said to me that the rear brake... don't brake... full of air!!!!

but the second time is when i go to nordkapp... Mad

maybe some O-ring don't work....

they control the pump at 15.000 check... i ride and will see if there's problems...

and if it happens again... i want a new pump huh

on saturday last weekend, the same problem with no rear brake happened to me.

it was better after having passed this quiet normal downhill section. i think ktm should
work on it unless shit will happen ! Mad

This bike has a rear brake? Is is that what this funny metalstick is used for on the right hand side of the motorcycle just in front of the footrest ... ? I'll have to test this feature once ...

Fun aside: I have (and I had) absolutely no problems with the rear brakes until now, but it seems to be a serious problem. So, please keep us informed ...

As I have already posted in another section, I am actually having this problem now here in Croatia and Italy: With Sozia and luggage after fast (or during!) fast downhill trips suddenly the rear brake stops working. I am only able to press it fully down, having no brake effect!!!!!!

ok... at now i have not put this on my bike...

but....

ROMEO FELICIANI (meoni mechanic) said to use ONLY DOT 5.1 brake oil... NOT DOT 4... and to keep level littler higher than standard...

and then...

put a SPONGE (SCHWAMM in deutsch?)... on the brake tank... a have to put here a pic of this.... soon...

Ein kleiner Schwamm wird in den Bremszylinder gelegt da Probleme mit dem hintererm Bremsylinder durch die Befestigung gbt. Sie liegt unterhalb der Bremse Und durch Vibationen können Luftblasen in die LEitung zur Bremse kommen.

Meonis Mechaniker legt den Schwamm rein und füllt etwas mehr Bremsflüssigkeit ein.
