Fuel system problems

Hi to everybody,

I´m writing from Spain. Today I have got my LC8, a normal black one. I rode 250 km to come back home. I had two problems.
First one, the autonomy was 180 km, but when I put fuel but the right tank was full but three liters.
The second one, when I run around 5000 rpm and cut down to 4000 rpm the engine stalls as it was flood.
Can anybody help me?

Por la Primera: Feliz Claferal. Creo que eres el Primero(la Primera?) con una macchina negra entre el Foro.

Quizas, el Problemo primero es porque la ventilation y/o la communicacion entre de "tank" icquierda y derecha no trabaja correctamente. Miral las "tubas?"

El segundo: No entiendo. Stall=stop?

Disculpa mi espanol. Solamente quiero practicar un poquito.

Hi Walter, mein Spanisch ist ungenügend

Das it den 180Km ist ein Problem der Tankentlüftung, das mit dem Stall (Abriss)
hatten wir im letzen Sommer (Simon und ich), kann aber noch nichts dazu sagen,
vermutlich die Vergaserentlüftungsschläuche.

PS: Ich finde das Englisch von claferal sehr gut, jedenfalls besser als mein Spanisch

Cuando digo que el motor "stalls" quiero decir q hay un vacio de potencia y empieza a fallar como si se ahogara o se quedara sin gasolina.

El problema de los tanques supongo q será de respiración de estos.

P.D.: Siento no poder escribir en aleman pero descoznoco esta lengua.

When I said that the engines stalls I want to say there is a flat spot at 4000 rpm. There is no power at 4000 rpm and the engine makes as when there is no fuel.

The problem of the fuel tanks must to be about the breath hose

P.D.: I cannot speak german, I´m sorry about it.

Hi,

I had one of the first LC8 and I had the same problem.
Was hard to find in those days they even brought it back to the general importer of germany (Ursensollen) to fix the problem.
They didn't tell what exactly the problem was they just mentioned something with the tubes of the carburetor.
But I thought since then KTM puts in the stronger ones??
So the problem should not exist anymore??

I've you open the side covering, near cockpit, you will see them.
I've got replaced them with stronger tubes, and fixed upperward to
a T-piece with a additional piece of tube, which build's a U near handle bar.

Hi folks,

yesterday I solved the problem of the tanks. The breathing hose of the right tank was kink and there wasn´t any air flow to it.

Now I must carry my bike to mY KTM Dealer to solve the problem of the 4000 rpm falt spot.
